The best way to describe what Straight Edge, is by asking yourself. Do you need drugs to get high and get fun? If you dont smoke or drink, will you not be able to attend any gigs, or join others mosh in the pit? sXe is the one and only youth subculture that discourage the use of drugs and alcohol in daily life while still encouraging fun and togetherness.

Where the name Straight Edge came from. Minor threat a big band from the hardcore punk scene was the one that is responsible for the Straight Edge tag.

The scene
Nowadays, the sXe scene can be seen anywhere. A lot of people claiming that they are the true straight edgers. So how to join the scene? Actually, you dont join straight edge. Just get involved in the scene, and stay with the X rules, don't smoke, stay away from drugs and alcohol. But it is not necessary to avoid getting along with people who smoke or do drugs or an alcoholic.
